Supernatural is one of the most مقبول shows around. A quick look at some well-known fiction sites tells us a lot about the size of it's fanbase. It's right up there with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, already a classic. Similar to Buffy in essence, the دکھائیں follows the story of two brothers fighting what the world believes to be nothing but fairy-tales and local legends. In the background, however, lies a family drama. Brothers aside, the world of Supernatural offered the viewers a relatively significant number of interesting characters with potential of becoming another Bobby یا Cass for the show. But they didn't. As a viewer, and now in the middle of season 6, I feel as if the دکھائیں needs some fresh air the form of relatively longer lasting interesting characters strongly connected to the main arc. The problem is, we could've had them already. The first part of this مضمون is restricted to the women of Supernatural and it's aim is to دکھائیں the potential they had to take the role in the story and in the hearts of the شائقین all over the world like Bobby and Cass have. It's سیکنڈ part is dedicated to Lisa and it's aim to دکھائیں why she doesn't fit in the story in comparison to the women mentioned in the first part

1) Bela

Introduced in season 3, Bela soon became the most hated character for 'being mean to the boys', 'evil' and 'making them look like fools'. My apologizes to anyone who feels offended سے طرف کی my گزشتہ statement. I am not negating that a single one the above mentioned reasons isn't true about Bela. However, that was her personality and it was an interesting one. Unlike the boys, Bela didn't care about the consequences her actions could have on the safety of the mankind. After all, the mankind didn't دکھائیں much care for her either. Unlike the boys' who lost their mother to a demon and their father to his obsession with avenging Mary, Bela had no one to mourn after: she was abused and no human was there to help her. While it's easy to understand Dean and Sam's obsession with hunting once their family's history is taken into consideration, prima facie it seems difficult to understand Bela. She's described as evil and egoistic, but did she really have reason to trust people? They only thing that helped her was a demon. The conflict of personalities conditioned سے طرف کی a completely different environment they grew up in apart, Bela would've been a great addition to the show. If the producers decided to have her turn to Dean for help rather than wait (which could've been easily achieved and in-character considering her self-preserving nature), we'd get a Bobby-like character who could provide them with all sorts of weapon and informantion one can get at 'the lucrative market out there'. She was also Dean's potential love interest. Drawing parallels with Buffy the Vampire Slayer this potential ship has Buffy/Spike written all over it. Most people fall for love-hate relationships, only here we'd have a good boy with a bad girl.

2) Jo and Ellen

I decided to dedicate them a single chapter as the two women, دیا their relationship, come together. Jo is a a typical little sister who wants to prove herself to the world and the boys are typical big brothers who are trying to protect them from everything. Jo's crush on Dean could have evolved into a deep friendship and her story could have دیا us good insight of how a newbie deals with what the job brings. Ellen's story can be described with the following sentence: 'Heros die and she has to bury them'. Offers elements of family drama and opens a new area in Supernatural. This woman's role was partially دیا to Lisa, but I felt Ellen was مزید authentic and tragic. I'd find a relationship between her and John مزید plausible than that of him and Adam's mother. The introduction of John's other family just to have them dead within two episodes was unnecesary and not appropriate considering the emotional shock such thing would cause to any human being, espcially to neglected children like Dean and Sam. That apart, Jo and Ellen could offer a family Dean and Sam never had but always desired. In this metaphoric family, Ellen would have the role of a mother and Jo the role of a little sister. It would work and we'd still have plently of family drama that still doesn't change the genre of the دکھائیں but fits perfectly in.

3) Pam

We've seen very little of this character, but I place if her Bela's rank in terms of potential. That is to say, a female version Bobby, a supporting characters with skills the boys could use.

4) Gwen

We didn't seen enough of her but this is another Jo in essence. Her presence would give the دکھائیں elements of family drama.

5) Ruby

From a literary point of view, I feel Ruby was the show's most succesful female character and, Bobby amd Castiel aside, the most sussessful supporting character. With every episode we were getting to know her better and yet she surprised us in the end. For a long time we were wondering about her loyalties, whether she was really one of a kind and if, perhaps, we were going to see her مزید humane nature. Her story belongs in the world of Supernatural (unlike Lisa's). Since the aim of the مضمون is to explore the potential some female characters who were killed off prematurely had, I won't go any further the analysis of Ruby. She's a role model.

6) Anna

Mentioned behind Ruby because Anna is the other side's Ruby. Even her surname Milton, in reference to John Milton's 'Paradise Lost', confirms it. However, she was very little developed and I'm afraid to say far to similar to Lucifer un basics, but to some extent to Cass as well (an angel who decided to go against the rules, much like Cass later) to offer مزید to the show. One of few characters who I felt were unncessary because they couldn't offer مزید than what a certain supporting character (Cass) and the season's villian (Lucifer) could.

The سیکنڈ part of this مضمون is dedicated to Lisa. دیا the number of posts on her threads on verious forums, I won't write about her role in the story and in general. I will just try to show, an in comparison to women mentioned above, why she doesn't fit in.

Generally, I think Lisa is supposed to be a younger version of Ellen with a similar story and personality. A woman who is constantantly afraid of losing her loved ones and being the one to bury them. I don't think the writers achieved that یا anything else at all with Lisa. Unlike Ellen's story, Lisa has nothing to do with this world which is why her story changes, for a few scenes, Supernatural into an different family drama show. Her job has nothing to do with Dean and Sam's life in a negative but potentially positive (Bela) یا just positive (Jo, Gwen, Pam) way. She doesn't interact with other characters یا knows them at all. Her personality varies for episode to episode and her actions often contradict themsleves which is all symptomatic of a character whose role isn't clearly defined. It seems as if the writers want us to like her so they're changing her from a submissive wife full of understanding (they moved on Dean's command whitout a fuss) to a strong, independant woman who won't just sit and cry until Dean comes back (she's now dating a doctor). Her role is that of Dean's girlfriend (which could've been filled سے طرف کی مزید fitting Jo یا Bela) and family (which could've been filled سے طرف کی Ellen, Jo یا Gwen). There is nothing unique about her that makes her irreplacable. As shown, her role could've been taken سے طرف کی other women who would fit مزید in the world of Supernatural, who would be مزید present and whom we'd get to know مزید (some fresh air I was talking about in the beggining) making the story مزید interesting. We've been reduced to Sam, Dean, Bobby and Cass. I'm pretty sure that Jo, Ellen and/or Bela would've been nice additions.
