it honestly switches between them. depending on the episode ; and who wrote it ; and what season it is. lol <3

Of course, they're both the star of the show, because if you took one away it wouldn't be Supernatural. Like Allixox said the focus passes back and forth because that's what the story dictates.

Supernatural would be nothing without Sam,just like without Dean. If someone wants to see them separately, watch their movies, where you can see Jensen and Jared apart from each other :)

I think they are definitely both the star of the show, it just wouldn't work with only one of them. There are character centric episodes making either one of them have more star like qualities, like BUABS the star would be Jared and TCAAR the star is more Jensen. But its basically equal!

^(which ep. is TCARR) I agree but it goes back to an episode like "In the Beginning" where Jared was only in like 3 min. and the rest of the episode was Jensen. But I do think that its both of them all the way!

I got it worng.

Even though Jared's name comes first in the credits, I think that lately Dean has become more of the star. Season's 1&2, Sam was more of the subject, but Seasons 3&4, Dean is obviously the subject.

sam has always been the star in my opinion...lucifer will be possessing him :D Sam's the vessel!!
