yes, of course! Sam and Dean aren't my only favourite characters, I'm a big Ruby fan! it would be just awesome! I'm dying to know how she lived, what she did before she appeared.. And it would be even fantastic if Katie played the first part of Ruby's life, and the second one - Genevieve. Great idea superstar_kk! :))

Hell yah if it was the new Ruby. I loved her. I think I am the only one that did. I didn't think she was a bad actress, I think they just changed the character so much that it appeared that way. I think the new Ruby had more depth. Both woman played the characters well, but they were both playing the character the way they were written at the time.

Not really, I don't watch shows just because they're connected to another, and how would they carry a spin-off of a character that is just evil? It's not like there were other depths to Ruby, other than the whole "Raise Lucifer" thing. If they had an episode to explain Ruby to us all, how she got so into the whole Lucifer thing, ok.

I would like to know the roots of Ruby. How she got the knife and all the stuff that she has gone through. I mean I like Sam and Dean but everything SPN related is great with me :)

I agree with linalin. I don't think there is enough depth to the Ruby character to carry her own show. As much as I would love a Supernatural spin-off, I don't think Ruby is the way to go.

I never really liked Ruby as a character although I gotta say that I prefer Old Ruby as apposed to New Ruby, I dont think the show would work all that well as Carolina said Ruby doesnt have enough depth to have her own show :(

Ah it is wonderful to know I am not alone. It feels like most of the time I am. I was so sad that she was evil, and not a tortured soul. Ahhh if only if only. And a spin-off could deal with when she was human and working for Lilith. Remember she was human once and a witch. Maybe she was like the "book club" and didn't know what she was doing to begin with. That way they could use a totally different actress.

^^ I disagree. She's a demon, which equals evil. What more could they add to her character? A lead character on a show should be multifaceted. Maybe if, like tinkymel said, the show was about Ruby when she was still human, but even then I don't think I'd be very interested in it.

I wasn't going to reply anymore, but I feel I need to.

She has depth, but not the kind that would result in her making a show, because all the depth she'd have would revolve around being a demon, let's say, it'd be like watching a show about a psychopath and why he does what he does. I compared demons to psychopaths.

Everything we were told about Ruby as a human most probably was a lie, and like Acklesgirl87 said, multifaceted characters that have that certain je ne sais quoi are what make tv, not a devious, psychopathic, probably former cult-follower. I watch Charles Manson documentaries and election day for that.

Someone to inspire and impress ME, someone greater than life. Or someone that tries to use the evil in them for something good, not some demon hellbent on destroying lives, and families.

I actually don't give a flying penguin how she got started, and that is my PERSONAL VIEW. Evil and cruel characters work, FOR ME, when they have something in the same show to balance it. Again, PERSONAL VIEW.

The main character on a show should have both light and dark in them. Even the good guys have a dark side to them. It's the struggle between the two sides, and their ability (or inability) to persevere over the darker aspects of their personality that make them interesting. In my opinion, demons don't have a good side. They're demons, it's their NATURE to be EVIL!!! Ruby may have seemed good at times, but she was lying, conniving, and manipulating Sam the entire time. Why? because she's a DEMON! That's what they do. Ruby was great as a secondary character, but in my personal opinion, she doesn't have the complexity to carry her own show.

Maybe they could have an episode of flashbacks if it tied into a future story line, but I don't think there'd be enough to her story to have a complete spin-off.
