&& i'm not trying to be a bitch or point fingers .. but I find it a tad bit annoying when we have new pictures to add/view and there's 9319341 old pictures to wade through first. Same with the vids ..

but I know i'm picky about that kind of stuff - I have OCD! so I figured i'd ask what you guys thought :)

well its not spamming...
its a fan spot and those are the kind of things to add to a fan spot
you dont have to look through ALL of them obviously
you add interesting cool pics and good vids so people can fan them and enjoy them!
its a fanspot adding stuff is what its for :)

Except that adding 50+ vids and pictures a day is spamming ;)

especially when the pictures are old/have already been added to the spot.

^ yeah well its fun and i add alot of vids a day and it helps people get medals.

well its not that bad , no one complains that much its like whatever the pics are good and no one would even remember if they were added before.
wat do you want no place to add vids or pics. thats not a fanclub then and its not spamming thats not the right word to use. its a fanclub adding things that belong in that fanclub and vids about that club isnt spamming its just adding things :)

It's not a big pet peeve of mine but I do wish that people wouldn't add quite so many videos a day. It does spam my updates, pushing other stuff all the way out. That's exactly why I add only 3 videos at a time to any given spot. I just think it's more polite that way. Also, I really wish people would take the time to add proper keywords and credit. Useless keywords or none at all make adding pictures pointless because unless you go through every single picture on this spot you will never be able to find anything.

That's not what i'm saying.

I'm saying if people add pictures and vids that they KNOW are from season 1, chances are they've been added before. And like fanfly said - if the proper credit and keywords were added, this issue wouldn't happen quite so often.

And medals? it's not all about medals. it's about adding QUALITY things.

^Yes, true. If people just used proper keywords and common sense, we wouldn't have so many repeated images on this spot. What's the point of adding an image that's already been added? Besides getting a medal. Which, like Ally said, shouldn't be your driving reason for adding things. It should be about sharing quality content with fellow fans.

It's not really something that bothers me. It is however a reason I usually don't add things, because if I see a picture or something that is really cool, I generally assume it's been added before and while I do spend quite a bit of time perusing the images and icons on my own time, I don't really have the time to wade through 30000 images or videos to see if it's been added before.

That being said...spamming for the sake of spamming or getting a medal is quite bothersome, because I have to agree with Dean-girlx and fanfly, it should be about quality content between fans, not getting a medal.

I actually didn't notice, but if it's old pictures then that would annoy me.

don't usually mind it unless it takes up a whole lot of the updates, so that i can't see updates that happened since the last time i was on

I'm gonna say what I've alredy said,I LOVE videos,I spent a lot of time on YT and I'm a video-maker myself,that's why I'm so against-spaming,I usually don't mind,but when I see only videos in my updates it's annoying,not only because you miss other things like picks,articles and stuffs but because you're never going to see all those videos and it's a shame,I've seen videos,that are like masterpieces,without any rating because they were confused between millions others,I'm not saying don't post videos,that would be a shame,but I don't know,3 - 4 in a day,not 12655 in 10 minutes,people really put time and efforts in vidding! same as images,posting images that have alredy been posted it's pointless,it's not gonna help get medals because people won't rate your stuffs,because they've alredy seen them....so please don't turn being here in just getting a medal,the spot used to be quality.

and please,please I'm begging you,remember always to credit.CREDITS ARE IMPORTANT,you recognize other's people work! it doesn't take much! and also always make sure people actually want that you repost their stuff outside LJ or Tumblr,don't just steal their things!

I don't mind about videos but i recognize lately that many people added old pictures from earlier seasons like promo-pictures. I mean sometimes there are funny ideas behind, i remember a few days ago someone added some old pictures where Sam and Dean are showing their tongues, i like something like this, because it is like a collection of these things and there is an idea behind, but i also don't like it if someone just add various things without a reason.

I think SOME of the people spamming might not realize it's already been posted.I do that sometimes, but then again they might just be doing it :( I don't really mind it anyway

I agree with ally and ambra, super annoying :( especially with all the images been added lately
