I haven't written this fanfic for ages...but that was cause:
1)I wasn't sure if anyone was interested in it (and I'm still not sure).
and, 2) I didn't have any idea where to take it.

But, I'm just gonna do what comes to mind, and see how it goes.

Part 3:

Alec's POV:

I heard Jane calling for me. She sounded panicked, maybe even slightly scared.

I hurried out of the room I was in, to see what was the problem.

"Jane?" I asked, confused when I saw her staring out of the window. "What's happened?"

"Look out the window." She replied, sounded unsure...

End of Part 8:

Aro's POV:

I held my hand out to Jane, and she took it, دکھانا me everything that had happened. And what I saw was beyond my wildest imagination. Alec's and Jane's powers had been useless. Somehow, a group of children had not felt the incapacitating force of Jane's torture یا Alec's 'anasthetic'. They had been immune to the power.

Suddenly, I wasn't so confident that just knowing what had happened would make it so simple to save Alec. We had a real problem on our hands.

How could we solve it?

Aro's POV:

I wondered, would...

End of Part 23:

Jane’s POV:

I couldn’t stifle the hope. After all, it made sense to me. It made مزید sense than ending my eternity had made. So, why not? Why not grasp at the last straw I could see? Because, when it came down to it, it might just save me from falling off the cliff.

I spoke the thought aloud, confirming it like I had with the idea to die: “If Alec was dead, I would feel it. I would feel as though a part of me had been torn out and lost forever.”

I told the trees and the گھاس and the whole sky. I told the stars and the moon and the gentle breeze.

But, most of all I told...

End of Part 22:

Jane’s POV:

I was strangely sane now; the depression that consumed me before seemed to have passed. I knew it would return, though, as soon as I thought of Alec یا let myself waver from my solid path. The solid path, so long before, which was now nearing its end…

I threw myself into a run again, speeding out of the city and across grassy hills. I didn’t know where I was going, but I knew where I was going to end up: at peace.

But so, so alone…

Or, maybe, he’d be waiting there for me? I hoped so. If he wasn’t, I hoped I wouldn’t have to wait long. If there was something...

End of Part 17:

Jane’s POV:

I slowed as I entered the carpeted corridor, the sobs ripping from my chest. I wept and I wept, with no tears. If only I could forget, if only I could go on and never think about him. But he was my brother, my twin brother and my best friend.

And now he was gone.

I could see shapes, people moving down the corridor. I heard their feet brushing against the carpet, heard their muted voices rising in agitation and shock as they saw me. I struggled to tune out their voices as they asked me questions. I’d had enough of life lines, had enough of gripping onto straws in...

End of Part 16:

Alec’s POV:

Deciding that now was an appropriate time to wake up, I relaxed my muscles. I blinked as I opened my eyes, pretending to be as disorientated as the first time I’d come out of this trance.

Part 20:

Alec’s POV:

I was alone.

Wind blew around the cave, whistling around corners. There was a silver patch of moonlight in the centre of the floor.

There was a way out.

If moonlight and wind could get into the cave, then I could escape! I didn’t stop to wonder why the hole was there, یا why I was alone. I jumped off the میز, جدول I was on, stepping into the patch of moonlight....

End of Part 13:

Marcus’ POV:

“What is it, Felix?” I asked, because he looked slightly anxious.

“Aro wants to speak with you, Marcus,” he told me, before turning and walking away down the corridor.

I got to my feet. Didyme took my hand, and we left the room and hurried down the corridor. Of course, Aro often organised meetings and it hardly ever meant something terrible was happening. Felix, however, was only worried سے طرف کی something extremely worrying. This was bad, very bad.

I was about to ask Didyme what she thought had happened: she knew Aro better than anyone did, seeing as she was...

End of Part 15:

Alec’s POV:

“What do آپ want with me?” I hissed, glaring at the small blonde girl.

“You’re our prisoner,” she replied; she had been the one who had commanded that someone got Mistress. “You don’t get to ask questions. Mistress asks the questions. We ask the questions.”

“And what if I don’t answer?”

There was a collective growl from the immortal children.

“You don’t have that option.” I followed the sound of this new voice, and saw a movement in the shadows. Her voice was older than the others, and quiet. It sounded like ice cold silk, like an arctic...

End of Part 7:

Alec’s POV:

Hundreds, maybe thousands, of children emerged from the alleyway, surrounding her on either side. Not really thinking about it, I decided to incapacitate them. I watched the mist creeping آگے across the stone, knowing it wouldn't be long before they all fell to the ground. The children were surging forward, unaware of their doom sliding slowly toward them.

However, when it reached them, nothing happened. The children continued running toward us, unaffected سے طرف کی my power. I could see Jane was trying to incapacitate them as earnestly as I now was.

But nothing happened....

Part 14:

Didyme’s POV:

The sun was just rising, its rays slanting through the windows. I walked down the corridor slowly, and had almost reached the room which contained my piano when a door opened just behind me. I heard the almost silent creak as it opened, turning around almost instantly to see who was there. I smiled as I saw my brother, Aro, walking toward me.

“Good Morning, Didyme!” He called; when he reached me, he kissed me on both cheeks before stepping back.

“It certainly is, Aro,” I replied, before kissing him as he had kissed me.

“And it will only get better. I have this...

Part 13:

Marcus’ POV:

The sun shone through the windows as I walked down the corridor, my feet brushing against the red carpet. The golden light lit up some of the stone wall, leaving the untouched patches cold. I was following the sound of a piano: Didyme was playing again. Opening the wooden door at the end of the corridor, I stepped through into the large room.

The room was almost empty, except for a grand piano in the centre of the room, and a red chaise long in the corner. The walls and floor were stone, with a circular, red sheepskin rug under the piano. Didyme was sitting on a red stool...

Lucinda’s POV:

“No!” She cried, panicked, shocked, and distraught. “No! No! Alec! Alec!”

Alec? So that was his name. Not that I cared; not that we cared. He was our victim, and we were taking him back for Mistress.

“Jane!” He shouted back, not so loud.

“Alec!” She was sobbing, but that didn’t phase me. I was a fighter, and we had just defeated our opponent. And what a trophy we were taking home!
I imagined what Mistress would say. I knew she would be pleased.

End of Part 10:

Lucinda’s POV:

Watching the pair on the steps, waiting for them to turn and look at me, I decided the boy would be my target. He had the most bodies clustered around his feet.

I felt anger again, because I could have saved all of the fallen children. I could've have protected them from their attackers' powers. They would've been saved. But, I had followed Mistress' instructions. And I would continue to.

The girl's eyes moved over and saw me. She leant forward, growling, and the boy followed her gaze. I stayed still; the army behind me waited for my signal. The few moments of...

Part 10:

Lucinda's POV:

Mistress' words replayed in my head as I stood in the mouth of the alleyway, preparing to step out into the sunlight.

Be as تیز رو, سوئفٹ as possible. Take the first one آپ see. Then, get out of there. Mistress had whispered, her voice calm and authorative.

She'd stayed hidden in the shadows, like she always did. In the darkenss, I had seen the outline of a black velvet cape, with the ڈاکو, ہڈ pulled down...

Aro's POV:

Demtri and Felix moved to walk with me, but Jane didn't move. I had a feeling there was مزید to this than I'd been told of. I looked over at Jane; she looked devestated.

"Jane, dear one, what is it that's upsetting you?" I asked.

It had been at least a hundred years since I'd seen her this upset. In fact, I didn't believe she'd ever looked like this.

Jane looked up at me. "It's Alec, Master. They took him away."
