In this version of the show, Batgirl and Robin were the main ذریعہ of sane humor, where as Batman is his regular grim and gritty self, as opposite to Bruce Wayne, who plays a مزید humorist character while keeping face. As this is, I do believe Batman needs Batgirl and Robin so he knows how to have a good time while fighting crime, and the JLA knows he does have a softer side.
