Now, I love Nintendo. It’s my پسندیدہ video game company out there… However, even the best company can make mistakes at some point. So, today, I am going to talk about the biggest mistakes Nintendo made
#5: 3DS Release - Now, lets talk about a مزید modern mistake. The 3DS is a pretty fun device, and I actually kinda like it. However, the 3DS wasn’t always loved. The 3DS was released on February 16th, 2011, with a price of THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS! WHAT!? Yeah, they sold this things, which normally should cost $150, at the very least, and they made it the price of what آپ could pay for a new Playstation یا XBox. But, surely, the games were good… right? Yeah, think again. They only had three games on release date, which were Steel Driver, Nintendogs, and Pilotwings Resort. Are آپ kidding me. We didn’t get games like Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D یا Super Mario 3D Land until much time later. However, this is lower because, Nintendo did an amazing apology سے طرف کی giving all those who bought a 3DS on release تاریخ 20 free games on eShop. That made it all worth it in the end. Thanks, Nintendo.
#4: Nintendo 64 Cartridges - Now, don’t get me wrong. I love the N64. It’s one of my پسندیدہ consoles of all time. Sadly, cartridges weren’t so hot in the late 90’s and early 2000s. Right around this time, Sony had created the Playstation (Which is part of a massive chain of mistakes سے طرف کی Nintendo, which we’ll get to later). The Playstation used discs that held مزید memory, having longer games, and better graphics. The N64’s cartridges didn’t have as much room, so they were stuck with the usual cartridges. This sort of thing lead to Nintendo’s biggest 3rd party company, Squaresoft, making business with Sony. That is what lead to Final Fantasy VII, one of the Playstation’s best games, and a game that really messed up the sales for the N64. Thankfully, with the help of Rare, and all their amazing games like Banjo-Kazooie, and Goldeneye 007, and the groundbreaking game that is Ocarina of Time, they were able to save the N64 from early extinction.
#3: Virtual Boy - Oh man, this thing. Yeah, I am sure anyone who grew up in the 90s remember this disaster. The Virtual Boy was a way for Nintendo to bring 3D to gaming. Sadly, it only took them ten years to get it… kinda right. The Virtual Boy only had the color of red and black and had a very annoying leg stand, making it very hard for people to play this thing in a comfortable position. The Virtual Boy only had thirteen games with it, some of which were only fun on Gameboy یا other Nintendo consoles. The Virtual Boy was also known to cause headaches, eyestrain, and seizures. The Virtual Boy was only sold for seven months before being pulled off the shelfs. Not to mention, Nintendo knows this thing is a failure, and decided to make fun of it, سے طرف کی دکھانا how they ritualize it in Tomodachi Life, and in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, unlike all rare items, the Virtual Boy just sits there and does nothing. How appropriate
#2: Denying Sony - Oh man, here is what caused the Playstation to beat Nintendo so badly. There was a time when Sony and Nintendo were working together. Yeah, imagine that. Nintendo and Sony were working on a device known as the Nintendo Play Station. However, this sort of deal was canceled, after Nintendo found in the contract with Sony that all the rights of Nintendo games would be دیا to Sony. After which, Nintendo worked with Sony’s rival, while Sony went on to create the Playstation, which is still a thriving console to this day… But, who was Sony’s rival… Well
#1: Working With Philips - Yep, Sony’s rival was the company that created the massive disaster known as the CD-i. While Nintendo was still working with Sony, they secretly made a deal with Philips, and then later announced their deal with Philips to Sony at their meeting, which caused Sony to leave Nintendo, with their plans with the Playstation. This here is what lead to the biggest mistake Nintendo could ever make. Philips than created the Philips CD-i, which was a video game console that would have Nintendo game on it. Those game was one Mario and three Zelda games. The Mario game was Hotel Mario, which was a boring and mediocre game. But, the Zelda games. Oh, they were MUCH worse. These games were known as Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, and Zelda’s Adventure. These games were notoriously bad, that they went down in history as the worst games ever made, no سوالات asked. This also lead to massive marketing of Nintendo’s mascots, which lead to a terrible Super Mario Bros. Movie, and an atrocious Legend of Zelda cartoon series. And it’s no wonder why Nintendo is so heavy with copyright. At least they have a reason
So, there آپ have it. Did آپ enjoy the list? Tell me what آپ thought of it below. With that, I will see آپ all اگلے time.
