I don't hate the word at all. What I hate is the way "chagrin" and its derivations (i.e.: chagrined) were used and abused all over the Twilight Series. As it was the case with many other words, such as "incandescent", "chagrin" wasn't used properly, but as a mere attempt to look smart. مزید information here:
