It's like watching the progress of the stock market. The show had its bloom and it definitely experienced depreciation of its value in the market. It all depends on the expectations and the goals of the stock owners so naturally the biggest disappointments derive from even bigger expectations. The ideas were good but the execution was lousy. For me, the way the show has progressed the last 2 years is depicted by the letter L. But I think the worst has gone. A season as bad as season 5 can't possibly be repeated.

Not really. I've enjoyed every season so far. I'm tired of people saying that the show has jumped the shark or that they prefer the first seasons. Who would want to watch the same for 8 years? The show has changed, but it hasn't gotten worse. Of course, there have been some lousy episodes, just like last year or 5 years ago. But that's just my opinion.

Har to say because last season sucked for the most part and so i would have said es, but with the season finale gave me hope that this next season will revive the show or at least let it end strongly

I think that it's kind of gone bad. I still think it's excellent, a lot better than most tv shows, but I do think that (like with everything) it's going through a low right now. The medicine is at an all time low, the patients are boring and some good character arcs have been thrown away for stupid frat boy humor (I'm grumbling about the Dibala story, The Luddy storyline which could have been amazing, Chameron). I think it will swing back for a high, because they've still got a fantastic story to tell and the creative team that keeps House going is incredibly talented.

Last season really didn't do it for me. I'm not alone here either considering that this is the first time the show didn't get an emmy nomination since the 3rd season. They started off strong, and have some amazingly good episodes in the season, but it got boring and stale by the end (excluding Baggage and Help Me). I think freshening up the show a little bit could help it out a lot, you know some new ideas. And I actually think that Huddy, The Wilson and Sam relationship, and new character could bring a breathe a fresh air to the show...I know a lot of the haters say that Huddy is the end of the show, like the Rachel haters said that Cuddy getting a kid would ruin the show, will actually bring some interesting plot lines.

I think they might be forcing Huddy... *hides from Huddies*

I don't think the show is getting worse. But I do think that a) they are pushing Huddy too hard, and b) the actors ducking in and out of the show is distracting. I think they need to make the decisions to either have characters in the show, or have them leave for good. I love Cameron, but its too distracting to have her dangled in front of us, then have her leave again. Same with Amber, Lucas and now Thirteen. Actually ever character has been used in that capactity to a certain extent. Now they are bringing in another new character (a type of character we have already seen before by the way). Its kinda getting old.

Plus, like I said in an article I wrote a while ago, with the nature of the entertainment industry, tv producers have to try and make things new and exciting every week. So they are forced to try and create epic moments each week. A show simply can't sustain that. Think back to seasons 1, 2 and 3. There were EPIC moments, but not in every episode. We have seen more big scenes in single episodes of season 5 than we saw in the whole of season 1. I long for an episode in which a stable team solves a single, interesting medical case, House makes a joke about Cuddy's boob and Wilson teaches House a life lesson.

I do find it interesting that the general view is that the show is getting worse, when these 2 seasons have been very focused on the Huddy relationship evolving. Many of us predicted years ago *cough*pointstoself*cough* that the show would suffer if Huddy actually got together, not because Huddy would be bad, but because the nature of the show would have to change or the focus would have to shift. Looks like that might be happening, at least a little bit.

In addition to the good points made by @misanthrope & others...I would only like to add a few counterpoints.

I think it is a positive that the show is not hiding from Huddy...that TPTB are willing to risk possible "failure" which is part of the creative process.
I do hope the writer's pull this off & surprise or manage to entertain even those less than enthusiastic about it.

People do come in & out of your life, we all go through phases, close chapters & open new ones. This aspect of the show does not bother me, tho I understand if fans get attached & then sadly see a character or actor go.

Now is probably a very good time to bring House & Cuddy together..(we all knew this was leading somewhere)...while there is sufficient time remaining in the series to give them a proper story arc & not a last minute nod..or nothing.

It is not a given that the Huddy factor will carry through the day, or that something disastrous will turn it upside down...but the subject of Huddy deserves exploration as a natural progression or continuation of what we have learned about these two people thus far.

I just want be more petients and more action.Huddy is pretty good but i'm thinking for how lone episodes that will be continue. And Chase's storylane.I not know what exactly happen.I think this storylane must continue all season. The give it 5-6 episodes so...The best episode was Broken and 5 to 9 And Help me and Maybe Wilson.I love chameron and lockdown was like paradise for me but i not like the episode.I mean the stories@episode.Why they not make all episode with house and the dying man.Cameron will go than when chase i working she will be back and they will be talk.4man&Taub....Ok.In this episode i can't stop to laugh in their scenes. All this book is that House is good. This not getting worse but their stories start to end.And if season 7 or 8 will be the end i'm saying...THIS WILL BE THE BEST.I so much want a patien with Human Combustion i mean that link .Yeah.I'm really crazyXDDD

Sadly, yes... I don't like the major changes in show's formula since season 5... Of course the show is still very good, but you can't compare it with old seasons. I miss clinic, I miss humor, I miss Vicodin, I miss lack of relationship drama. And I still hate the new team. I don't care That they are in the show as long as the old one now. They are still new & can't force myself to care about them even a little.
I hope the direction the show is going in will change soon.

It's changed, and some people like the change, and some people don't. IMO if it hadn't been shaken up at the end of season 3, the show wouldn't have lasted as long as it has.

Well a little. I mean I loved the S6 finale but for the most part it wasn't like our old House. I think it was the vicodin. &Don't get me wrong I love Huddy but for the love of God I hope that's not all we see in Season 7.

Well I guess I am in the minority. My favorites seasons have been season 3-4-5 and 6. Season One and Two for me were marginal as I was not interested in Cameron,Foreman,or Chase. House, Wilson, and Cuddy were enough to sustain me thru season 3. I loved the emphasis on House and Cuddy as they grew closer, loved the growth of Cameron,Chase, and Foreman. Oddly thought I believe that this was Wilson's weak season.
LOVED SEASON 4,Loved the survivor theme to pick the newbies and came to love Thirteen,Taub and little buddy Kutner. I was glad Amber wasn't chosen as I felt she was wayyyyyyyyyy to needy.
LOVED SEASON 5 Interesting patient like the Chinese girl that had the nail in her head from her parents who tried to kill her, to the patient with Mediterranean fever and his daughter to, the patient who was LOCKED IN.
The newbies developed as we learned more about Kutner,Thirteen, and Taub.
House and Wilson separated but, were able to patch up differences while on a road trip and later discovered the importance of there social contract.
House and Cuddy grew closer in season 5,Kissing in Joy,contemplating a relationship in Let Them Eat Cake, and House hallucinating making love to her.

Loved Season Six: House has come a long way from his stay in the intial episode at MayFair.
He lived with Wilson and helped his downstairs neighbor
he accepted Lydia not being part of his future plans and decided to try a relationship with Cuddy
Cuddy attempted to move on from House with Lucas and House found a way to deal with that
We learned Wilson has not moved on from Amber but, with House's help he tried speed dating and even picking out furniture.
