Don't group rock with metal, goth, and emo, please. They're totally different things.
But if I were to suggest a band to you, I suggest My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, In This Moment, یا Nightwish.

For rock I would suggest Queen, My Chemical Romance, Led Zeppelin and T-Rex
For metal I would say Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. Queen also did some songs that people considered metal (Stone Cold Crazy was the first thrash metal song) :)
