Do آپ believe that آپ can only be a Harry Potter پرستار if آپ have read all of the books?

I think if آپ are a real پرستار آپ should read the books. آپ can be a پرستار of the فلمیں but if آپ are a پرستار of Harry Potter آپ read the book because that is the really Harry Potter.
What I get from your تبصرہ آپ are a real HP پرستار because آپ are trying to read the کتابیں and maybe even want to read all of them.

To those people who complains about that they can't read for some reasons, there is a reason there is audio books. I have read and "read" all of the کتابیں myself several times (16/7 times, the last one only 6 times). I even learn to read properly from HP but I do listen to the audio کتابیں sometimes because I don't like to read so much anymore like I did before, so today I try to walk so much as possible and in the mean time I listen to the books. English isn't my first language but I listen to them in English because I love his voice, I mean he really brings the characters alive. And when I listen to them in English, I improve english at the same time.
I really enjoy that.

آپ can be a پرستار at any time, even just watching the movies. However, to be a true, die-hard fan, آپ have to read the books. But you're already reading the books, so if آپ continue to love them and read them, then you're perfectly die-hard :)

Personnally I have read all the کتابیں and I've seen all the فلمیں but I just consider myself just as a fan.
I don't believe of the crap and I repeat clearly myself THE crap other شائقین یا people call "TRUE FAN" it doesn't exist such a thing یا person یا group of persons.
It's just a damn way to separate us and to make people feel bad just because they only like the کتابیں یا only likes the movies.
For me آپ are A پرستار because آپ like what آپ read یا watched یا both, that is a fan.
Being a پرستار is just liking the کتابیں یا just one book یا one movie. People who say: "True شائقین blablabla" just wants to give themselves some importance. I don't see the big deal about it. We're all HP شائقین and we're all equal just سے طرف کی that.

If آپ ask me, the answer is simple. آپ can be a پرستار if آپ haven't read the books. But آپ can not fully appreciate the beauty held in Harry Potter. So basically what I'm saying is this: آپ are a fan. Not a true fan. When you've read all the کتابیں though...that's a different story.

At least آپ aren't one of those people who watches the فلمیں then reads the first two pages of the first book and say, "I don't like it. It's stupid." Hope آپ finish them soon!

My Sister and Brother didn't start reading the کتابیں until they saw the films. And my Mother, who has seen all the movies, has never once picked up a Harry Potter book, and she calls her self a "Die-hard" fan.

Maybe to some people that would mean you're not a true fan. But who cares what they think? What matters most is what آپ think...

I stared loving Harry Potter when I saw the HP1 movie! I was so in love with it. U don't have to read all 7 کتابیں to become a پرستار of HP, HP is sooo cool that آپ can be a پرستار of it سے طرف کی only watching the HP 1 movie ;) it's possible. And I did'nt read all کتابیں yet,I just read HP 1,2 & 3 and saw all the movies. I agree with @innocenta.

No آپ don't need to have read all the کتابیں I was 3 when I became a پرستار of Harry Potter and I couldn't read and so far I have only read Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I don't agree with your mom at all. Being a 'real' پرستار of anything is subjective. I've seen all the moves, read all the کتابیں -- starting when they first came out --, been to almost all the midnight releases, dressed up as characters, and had themed parties. But I don't have the کتابیں on tape, and hardly have any memorabilia, and some might say that I'm not a 'real fan.'

A real پرستار is someone who loves the series, regardless of whether they've read all the books, seen all the movies, only got into it because of certain actors یا movies, یا got into it once it got 'popular.' The way I see it: if someone tells آپ you're not a real پرستار because آپ didn't do what they've done, they're just trying to make themselves look and feel better سے طرف کی making آپ look small.

آپ love the series -- that's all that matters.

I think that's a minimum, as everything started there, in the books. There might have been no movies, yet the کتابیں are still there.

The فلمیں are great and in so many aspects, they convey what the atmosphere of the کتابیں fairly well. Plus the cast is just wonderful. I encourage my students in the English language to watch the فلمیں because they are an highly enjoyable way to improve English, thanks to the impeccable diction of some of the actors.

However, the فلمیں could not tell everything. Many important subplots have been discarded. The کتابیں are far richer and it's a pity not to read them.

Well you're a پرستار of the فلمیں , but to be a TRUE پرستار آپ have to read the کتابیں . I mean that's what everythings based on and I believe آپ do have to read the کتابیں if آپ want to call yourself a true potterhead .

No. I'm a very big پرستار of the movies. But never read the books. Well,except I read a few chapters on book 5. Just sayin.

I don't think آپ have to read all of the کتابیں to be a true HP پرستار I've only read the last 2 myself and it did help me understand مزید about some of the characters better like Severus the فلمیں make him look pretty bad but once آپ read the کتابیں آپ really understand why he had to be the way he was

You're a real پرستار when آپ believe you're a real fan, not when other believe it.

آپ certainly can be a real HP پرستار without reading the books, but you're cheating yourself if آپ don't read them. The فلمیں are great, sure, but they pale in comparison to what JK Rowling wrote. When آپ watch the movies, you're only getting maybe a quarter of the story, and you're getting someone else's vision of it. Only when آپ read the کتابیں do آپ get the whole story, and آپ can make your own movie in your mind. آپ have your own vision of the story, and I think that's far مزید valuable.

And honestly, آپ don't really know the true depth of the characters if آپ don't read them. And if آپ never read the books, then آپ will never truly understand how brave, how awesome was our Potions Master, یا how great was his sacrifice, because the فلمیں do not do Severus Snape justice. Alan Rickman does, have no doubt, but the films just don't.

And if you're a پرستار of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, as I am (passionately), you'll never really know them if آپ don't read the books. Because the فلمیں trivialize them terribly.

I don't think آپ have to read the کتابیں to be a fan. I have several دوستوں that like the فلمیں and have never picked up one of the کتابیں in their lives. That being said, I always encourage people to read the books. They have so many awesome moments in them that, unfortunately, never made it to the big screen. It takes longer to read a book than to watch a movie, but the کتابیں are totally worth reading. آپ can't get a full understanding of the magical world and of Harry's story if آپ just watch the movies.

Everyone has their opinion. But I think it's a bit silly to asume anyone has the ability to say if someone else is really a true پرستار یا not. That's for آپ to say.

i personally don't think it matters what آپ do its مزید of how آپ feel about something that makes آپ a true پرستار if آپ read all the کتابیں and watch all the فلمیں but don't have a huge interest in it than your not a true پرستار but if آپ read a few کتابیں یا watch some فلمیں and absolutly love it than i think that makes آپ a fan. I think its a personal desicion and judgement whether یا not your a پرستار no one else can say that your not a real پرستار because آپ do یا don't do something that is up to you. If that makes sense

I think that if آپ read the کتابیں آپ will understand the movie مزید but if آپ just watch the فلمیں then آپ are still a fellow potter پرستار because really a potter پرستار just loves harry potter even if it is just the movies.

No. آپ don't have to read the کتابیں to be a true HP fan. Either makes آپ a fan. Just as long as آپ love the story. But آپ might get a better understanding of the story and get to read somethings that wasn't in the فلمیں if آپ read the books.
