None of us will ever forget Harry. How can we, we who stood سے طرف کی him in his darkest hours, we who loved him for so many years? We all have at least one copy of the books. We read them many times. We draw scars on our foreheads and wait for lletters. Just because the series is done does not mean that Harry is dead. Remember Dumbledore in COS: I will only have truly left thhis school when none inside are loyal to me. So it is with Harry. Dedicated Potterheads will دکھائیں him to future generations, passing him from parent to child, just as the چادر, فرغل was passed down. No one can ever forget him. No one can forget the bravest man we ever knew. The Chosen One. The Boy Who Lived. Why should we? He is a part of us all. In a way, he is the brother we wish we had. He is family.

I've seen several posts about this, and I don't understand. It makes no sense to me. Lord of the Rings has been "finished" since the '60s, and clearly no one has forgotten it.

I don't have to forget the Harry Potter series in order to read another book, I don't imagine anyone having to. When آپ love something, it becomes a part of you. آپ don't just forget it as if it meant nothing.

I didn't really grow up with Harry Potter. I never really cared for it. I watched the first 4 فلمیں and lost interest. I didn't really become a پرستار again until I saw Deathly Hallows Part 1. I'm really attached to Harry Potter (okay obsessed is مزید like it xD) but I guess I can اقدام on. We can اقدام on but we can't forget. Unlike me, آپ guys grew up with Harry Potter so it's a part of your childhood like old Disney فلمیں and Nickelodeon shows. So instead of weeping about how it's over--relive it and pass it down to the younger generation so they can experience the magic, also :)

Actually, I didn't grow up with Harry Potter either...it's not a part of my childhood. In fact, I'm much older than you, and I suspect a fair number of شائقین here are. JKR might have began the series for kids, but it appeals to a wide range of readers of all ages.

I agree. I was a bit hesitant when contemplating whether یا not I should read the books. I'm 16 and the book s are in my school لائبریری so I'd figured it was okay. My English and Psychology teachers told me that they'd read the کتابیں in college so I was okay. The first two were a bit immature for my taste but سے طرف کی Prisoner of Azkaban, I felt like Rowling changed her writing style because she realized that she was appealing to both adults and children :) Order of the Phoenix onward were pretty complex کتابیں for kid readers. I couldn't imagine myself reading Half Blood at 10 (I was 10 when it was published).

Poe at 10? Dear God! Makes me feel dumb when I say that I was reading 'The Clique' series سے طرف کی Lisi Harrison. I really didn't really Harry Potter because I was just a lazy skim-reader and only read کتابیں that had 200 pages یا less. Then I figured if I could read the Twilight Saga (when I was 13) which is about 500-700 pages, I guess I could read Potter.

I am devoted to Harry Potter...to the entire magical world..I can't even think of forgetting it..it exists so deep in my heart,so obstinately in my mind, etched so vividly in my eyes, that I can't detach myself from it even if I want to(not that I've ever tried).I have laughed, cried, danced with joy, awoken from my sleep with dreams regarding the characters...it has taught me SO much:About good and evil, right and wrong, about CHOOSING the right way, about love, friendship and understanding. Trying to forget about it یا convincing myself to اقدام on is as bad as torturing myself with the cruciatus curse.

Harry Potter will ALWAYS be there. Its epic...its heavenly...it is MAGIC.

oh after reading the other جوابات i feel i got a bit over-emotional ,as i always get when such سوالات arise. Well, i won't say that i've moved on COMPLETELY uknow cuz i spend hours reading the same کتابیں over and over again, یا keep watching the same movies. But yeah I have read plenty of other کتابیں after the end of the series as well.

We can't really اقدام on. It's a part of us now. Sure, we'll read otherbooks. But they won't stay with us as Harryh Potter did. We continue the story سے طرف کی remembering. It's aa story that can never die, because it fits with everyone. We loved it into reality. Harry Potter is not over so long as there are Potterheads. There will always be guys like Potter, but only one Harry.

Read another book: Sure
Accept and اقدام on: Sort of
Forget Harry Potter: NEVER

It's not just a book series. It's a childhood. It's a decade of memories. The waiting, the speculation, the thrill of finally holding the latest volume, all this is difficult enough to اقدام on from. Let alone forget.

I read all the کتابیں back to back, so at first it was hard to اقدام on. It's all I wanted to talk about, and this was before I discovered Fanpop. Since then, I've read plenty of other books, but I will never forget the pleasure of reading HP.

I'm with BlackHound: I don't understand these questions. I don't understand where یا how the idea that, if someone doesn't spend their life reading only Harry Potter, somehow that means they've forgotten it. People aren't going forget a series just because it's over. The books, movies, memorabilia, actors, and giant theme park aren't going to suddenly turn invisible because the series ended.

I will never forget Harry, in fact... I am sure none of us will forget. When I finished the last book in the series and saw the last movie, I was devastated. All I did for months was talk about Harry Potter یا read fanfics about it, because I didn't want the magic to end. To be true (and I know this sounds corny) the world of Harry Potter is a part of me, and I am most likely not the only one who feels this way. I guess it is hard to let go of because the کتابیں are so creative and it makes us want to be at Hogwarts یا fighting off other wizards. We can get attached to the characters easily in Harry Potter, because they seem so... normal. Even though it is a fantasy, it feels real. I am sure a lot of the readers cried at least once during either the Half Blood Prince book یا the Deathly Hallows book. As I کہا before, it's hard to let go of and it is a part of a lot of readers all over the world. We will never forget Harry Potter
