Well, natural instincts would tell us to stay away from danger. And if Edward was a 'murderer', I would have naturally stayed away from him.
Why risk your life on such danger? Would I want to be associated with such a being? No, I don't. Murder is a very sinful and immoral thing to do. I would never want to be close with such a treacherous person, even IF I was in love with him.
Love can really blind a person sometimes. When everything snaps back to reality, the world isn't as beautiful as it seems. And in reality, I'm pretty sure NO ONE wants to be with someone who has murder in his hands.
